What to wear to your lesson

We recommend that you wear clothing that is comfortable and provides for movement. Shoes should be secure on your feet with either leather sole or comparable material. Shoes to avoid wearing are: tennis shoes, flip flops, mules, or sandals with thin straps. Please no exposed nails. Dance shoes are not necessary to begin but if you really like dancing you will want to purchase dance shoes later.

If you are getting married, you will want to wear the shoes that are closest to your wedding shoes, i.e. the same type of sole and shoe type. For example, if you are wearing flip flops for your wedding, wear flip flops to your lessons. It's not the best for dancing, but your instructor can help you learn how to deal with them and you will also be able to get used to dancing in them.
